Fizzy Tuition is a branch of our FizzyTree run by our resident qualified primary school teacher, Rachael Cawthorn. Rachael has over eight years teaching experience and has an excellent knowledge of the new Key Stage one SATS and the phonics screening test. She has also worked with year six children in preparing for their SATS. 

Rachael offers 1-2-1 tuition and small study groups. Study groups allow your child and up to three additional children to work together as a team; this is beneficial to children as they have the support of their friends and also makes the sessions more affordable for parents. The cost is £25 per hour for the first child with additional children just an extra £5 per child.

Whether your child needs extra support in preparing for their SATS, phonics screening, or guidance in a specific subject area to help boost confidence; Rachael can be on hand to help your child in a teaching style that suits their individual needs. As a mother of two, Rachael understands the importance of supporting children in education from both a parental and teaching perspective and is passionate about enabling children to reach their full potential.

Rachael offers an initial 'get to know you' session where she will visit you and your child to discuss what you would like to achieve from the sessions. She will also spend time finding out about your child’s hobbies and interests in order to tailor her teaching specifically to the learner. There will be no charge for this session.

‘I believe children work best when they are excited and engaged by a subject. My teaching style always focusses on capturing the child’s imagination by structuring lessons around their own interests.’
